A large firm had hundreds of scientists, engineers, and IT professionals on staff, but struggled to find people willing to present at industry conferences and other important meetings.
The company was losing opportunities to introduce their work to potential customers. They decided to build a team of presentation experts to help the team become confident, effective presenters.
Today, Speak Easy is a standalone organization with subject matter expertise helping technical professionals to make the most of every speaking opportunity.
Your head coach - Mike Holsinger
Mike brings years of experience in Advertising, Marketing Communications, Media Relations and Crisis Communications to Speak Easy.
From large advertising agencies and Fortune 50 corporations to local businesses, Mike has been building brands and growing businesses at every step of his career. He’s also counseled senior leaders during pivotal moments that required smart, strategic thinking to develop messages for internal audiences, customers, and analysts.
Most recently, Mike followed his passion for clean energy and pivoted to a career in energy efficiency, achieving a Certified Energy Manager designation from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). At TRC Companies, he worked as the senior outreach leader for New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program, delivering hundreds of thousand of tons of greenhouse gas avoidance.
When TRC needed to improve their employees’ presentation skills, Mike volunteered, using his “first career” experience to build a workshop program.
Mike announced his retirement at TRC recently and was asked to return to lead workshops twice a year.
On his own now, Mike is bringing his coaching success to Raleigh -Durham enterprises whose scientists, engineers and IT professionals can benefit from this unique opportunity.
